About the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County
The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County (CAFC) was formed in July, 2008, to serve the cultural organizations, artists and audiences that contribute to the creative and economic vitality of the region. Its mission is to foster a cohesive voice for the cultural sector and provide coordinated cultural marketing, organizational and professional development and advocacy. CAFC encourages the integration of the cultural sector into regional economic development strategies and equitable access to cultural opportunities and education.
CAFC services include:
- Regional and State cultural leadership addressing issues important to the cultural sector
- FCBuzz.org – A Web site promoting participation in arts and cultural activities in Fairfield County
- Marketing Roundtable for cultural organizations
- Workshops for cultural organizations and artists
- Peer Advisory Network for cultural organizations
- Artist Mentorship Project
- Advocacy
The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Funding is provided in part by the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism and the Fairfield County Community Foundation, as well as CAFC member artists, organizations and municipalities and foundation, business and individual donors.
